• நல்ல நேரம் — கௌரி பஞ்சாங்கத்தில் நல்ல ஹோரை (அமிர்த, லாப, சுக) தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுகிறது. Nalla neram — an auspicious Gowri muhurta window (Amirdha, Laabam, Sugam) is selected.
• தவிர்க்க வேண்டியவை — ராகு காலம், யமகண்டம், குளிகை, கரிநாட்கள். To avoid — Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam, Kuligai, and Karinaal days.

For weddings, the lagnam is paramount; it is also consulted for new ventures and griha pravesam.
