மாத சிவராத்திரி Maasa Sivarathri

மாத சிவராத்திரி என்பது தேய்பிறை பக்ஷத்தின் 14ஆம் திதி (சதுர்த்தசி) — ஒவ்வொரு தமிழ் மாதமும் ஒரு முறை வரும் சிவ வழிபாட்டு நாள். மாசி மாதத்தில் வரும் மாத சிவராத்திரியே மகா சிவராத்திரியாக சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

Maasa Sivarathri (மாத சிவராத்திரி) is the 14th tithi of the waning fortnight (Krishna Chaturdasi), observed monthly with Shiva worship and an all-night vigil. The one falling in Maasi month is celebrated as Maha Sivarathri.
